Second construction site fire brings out a quarter of LA’s fire fighting force

A second fire less than two miles away from this morning’s large downtown fire brought out an additional 100 firefighters from multiple agencies, bringing the total to 350, a quarter of the city’s entire fire fighting force. The fire broke out at a mixed-use building, currently under renovation. Like the earlier blaze, the cause of the fire is undetermined but no evidence indicated the fires were connected.
